The summer heat has officially settled in, and the bite across the Crystal River grass flats has been consistent during the early morning hours. This past week, our guests enjoyed a fantastic day targeting Redfish and Speckled Trout, finding both species actively feeding in the shallow turtle grass. We utilized light tackle with soft plastic jigs and live bait under popping corks, which proved to be the most effective method for triggering strikes from aggressive fish. One group of first-time anglers was particularly impressed by the sheer number of Trout caught in just a few hours, making for a productive and memorable morning.
As we move deeper into July, the water clarity remains excellent, providing perfect opportunities for sight-fishing in the shallows. Whether you are aiming to land a trophy Redfish or simply looking for a fun day out with family, the current conditions offer something for every level of angler. Ready to catch your trophy fish?
